Projects

Aside from developing and producing our own projects and campaigns, the Canadian Toilet Organization is very interested in collaborating on projects both national and international. We welcome your thoughts and ideas; and encourage you to contact us to discuss them further.

The CTO’s first international project was the construction of toilets for the village of Chack Hakim, near Phagwara in the Punjab region of India. This project was realized in cooperation with the Punjab Lioness Toilet Foundation and Sulabh International Social Service Organisation of India.

Currently the CTO is developing multiple programs for sanitation awareness in Canada in order to help break the toilet taboo and create an understanding about how important toilets and sanitation are to our welfare and way of life.

These programs will also include ones geared specifically towards children, whom with early education on the subject, could make substantial changes to the way we view our sanitation systems in the future.
